Julie Rusciolelli wields more than 20 years experience as a public relations practitioner. One of Canada’s leading strategists and creative publicists, she has advised many Canadian corporations whose executives rely on her insight to tailor programs designed for their specific business needs. As founding president and owner of MAVERICK Public Relations, she manages the day-to-day operations of this edgy, high-energy company, while serving various accounts with her signature “hands-on” management style. She leads by inspiration and enthusiasm and loves her job. Julie has spent her entire public relations career on the agency side working at multi-national PR firms in Toronto. She has provided senior counsel to many clients spanning both consumer and B2B segments including Symantec Corporation, Sony PlayStation, Dyson, Sharp Electronics, Coca-Cola, TD Bank, Molson, Balmshell and many others. She has worked with not-for-profit organizations including Habitat for Humanity Canada, Sleeping Children Around the World and Villa Charities Foundation. Julie lives in Toronto with her long time partner Gerry, their "miracle" daughter Rachel and their Golden Retriever, Haley. Julie has won numerous PR awards for her creative insights, but is most proud of the fact that she is a very good mother and role model. She sponsors the IABC Maverick Student Award and is a sought out speaker on issues affecting women in the workplace and entrepreneurship. Julie was named one of Canada’s TOP 100 Women Entrepreneurs in 2004, 2006, and 2007. She is an avid golfer (she tries really hard) and belongs to the Markland Woods Golf Club in Etobicoke.
