Martin McInally | Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs

Martin is a senior communications professional with extensive international and national experience across all aspects of private and public sector communications. He is an expert in developing strategic communications concepts and translating them into deliverable initiatives. He is a trusted advisor to global business leaders on critical issues occurring in complex and dynamic environments.

Prior to joining MAVERICK, Martin spent five years in Switzerland as a senior communications executive at two of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies - Roche and Novartis. A highlight of his European experience was his unique positioning as a core member of the marketing group that conducted the world-wide launch of two of the world's most novel oncology treatments -- Avastin and Tarceva.

Martin has also developed critical partnership initiatives with global advocacy organizations to raise disease and treatment awareness among key stakeholders. He is the past National Director of Marketing and Communications for the Canadian Diabetes Association.

He has also worked extensively in government relations - both from the agency side and also from the inside working directly with the Ontario Solicitor General as his Communications and Media Relations Special Advisor.

When not chasing after his beautiful young daughters, Kyla and Brianna and the family dog Moka, he loves spending time with his wife Sharon and puttering about in the kitchen with dreams of being the next great celebrity chef. He also enjoys participating in the organized frustration that is the sport of golf, and practicing the Japanese martial arts of aikido and kendo.
