Baking on Oprah and with Robin Hood

By Tamara Kaftalovich - 4 months ago

Oprah's first ever "cake-off" and Robin Hood's Bake Batter and Roll shop

In celebration of one of our client's, Robin Hood, 100th year as company, they have created a mobile bake shop called "bake batter and roll."  Check their website out here. If you can't make it out to the shop, there are a ton of great recipes on the site that you can make out of the comfort of your own home with your kids - aquarium cookies, a cookie pizza, funny face cupcakes, etc.

And if you aren't the baking type but appreciate fine art, Oprah had its first ever "cake off."  She challenged three celebrity pastry chefs to brainstorm and come up with the most incredible cake design with their team; make the cake in less than a week; and present it on the Oprah show for judging.  And wow, did they deliver.  The winner, according to the audience, was cake number 3 - an actual cake capturing the essence of Oprah - her influence over millions of people through her show, her book club, her vision, her charity work.  It was pretty amazing.  But so were the other two - take a look here and vote for your favourite design - http://www.oprah.com/survey/oprahshow/20091016-tows-cake-off
