Following record-breaking sales in 2010, 2011 to be biggest product year ever
TORONTO-January 27, 2011-For its debut showing at the Interior Design Show, Miele (Canada) Limited is launching its 2011 line of "intelligent design" home appliances and accessories, and showcasing key trends in the future of kitchen design.
"This is the first year we have participated in the Interior Design Show, so it's fitting that we're featuring some of the appliances that Canadians will soon be able to have in their homes," says Jan Heck, President, Miele (Canada) Limited. "The timing is also right: In 2010, we had our most successful sales year since entering Canada, while ensuring very profitable growth for our business partners. 2011 will be our biggest product year ever, with more appliances set to enter the Canadian marketplace than in any other time in our history. IDS11 is a tremendous kick-off to what promises to be marquee year for Miele Canada."
At IDS11, the premium German appliance brand's renowned "intelligent design" will be showcased in a two-level, 1,600 sq. ft. booth. The upper-level "Innovation Lounge" features design prototypes, including a free-standing coffee maker, which makes its North American premiere. The ground-level showroom will feature four new products lines that will be available in Canada this year, including the energy-efficient G5000 dishwasher, the DGCXL combination steam oven, the Design Line Cooking appliances and the DA6480 downdraft ventilation system.
Miele's IntelliQ, its newest 27" large capacity laundry system, will make its world premiere at the Miele Fabric Care Pavilion. This second booth, designed to resemble the brand's patented Honeycomb Drum, will feature the 27" front-load laundry systems that will launch in Canada this summer.
Both concepts were created by award winning Toronto-based exhibit, event and environmental designers, The Taylor Group.
IDS11, held at Toronto's Metro Convention Centre, runs from January 27 to 30. Miele's booth-located at North Exhibit, Level 300, booth number 1834-will feature the following items:
